Debbie Gray to liaise with BVNA council on the development of new initiatives for veterinary nursing CPD, overseeing existing projects and working alongside the association’s education manager.
The British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) has announced the appointment of RVN Debbie Gray as the association’s education development coordinator.
Mrs Gray will work from the BVNA headquarters and her role will encompass liaising with BVNA council on the development of new initiatives for veterinary nursing CPD, overseeing existing projects and working alongside current education manager, Lisa Brett.
Mrs Gray has considerable experience in education having been employed as a BSc veterinary nursing lecturer by The College of Animal Welfare and more recently a lecturer at Oaklands College in Hertfordshire.
BVNA president Claire Fraser said: “In this time of great change for the veterinary nurse, it is imperative that the BVNA provides its members, and other members of the veterinary nursing profession, access to a wider range of high quality and affordable CPD, to ensure professional development can continue.
“And so, by appointing Debbie Gray as our new education development coordinator, she is able to bring her experience and knowledge to the BVNA, and help continue to raise the standards of CPD provision.”
BVNA members will have the opportunity to meet Mrs Gray at the forthcoming BVNA Congress, which will take place at Telford International Centre from October 5-7, 2012.
