The Small Animal Medicine Society (SAMSoc) and the British Association of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (BrAVO) have announced autumn CPD meetings.
Both events will take place at Chesford Grange Hotel in Kenilworth, Warwickshire from November 27-29.
The SAMSoc meeting is on Friday, November 27. It will feature “infectious disease day” with talks on leptospirosis, cutaneous and renal glomerular vasculopathy, new molecular diagnostic techniques, angiostrongylus, and faecal microbiota transplants.
Guest speaker Dr Lucy Lamb will talk about her experiences with ebola in Sierra Leone.

The BrAVO meeting on November 28-29 focuses on ocular manifestations of systemic disease. Register Friday evening, lectures Saturday and Sunday. There will be a gala dinner and entertainment.

BrAVO and the British Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Association (BVRSMA) have signed up to support the London Vet Show (LVS), from November 19-20 at the Olympia Grand. Both organisations will host lectures to raise awareness of ophthalmology and rehabilitation and sports medicine with veterinary professionals.
Tim Knott, chairman of BrAVO, will present on November 19, from 3.30-4.40pm, on ‘cat’s eyes with black spots and dog’s eyes with black holes: managing the difficult cornea’.
Rhona Warnock, director of The Animal Rehabilitation Centre at Donaldson’s Vets, will lecture on behalf of BVRSMA on November 20, from 10.15-11.15am. Her talk is titled ‘fat to fit: how rehabilitation can assist with management of the overweight patient’.
