Staff from the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital and north-west London branches of the Goddard Veterinary Group have raised more than £350 for research into prostate, testicular and breast cancer.
They raised the money by completing a 10-mile moonlight walk on Saturday, November 23 – all sporting Movember moustaches. The walk started and finished at the Mandeville Veterinary Hospital.
Adrian Hayter, practice manager, said: “We completed the walk in just over two-and-a-half hours, including a quick ‘refreshment break’ in the pub in Eastcote. I’d like to say a big well done to everyone who took part. We were grateful the weather was mainly dry and not too cold. We’re delighted to have raised these much-needed funds and expect the final total to rise.
“Anyone who wants to support us can still do by visiting mosista.co/mandevillevet (male cancers) and virginmoneygiving.com/team/mandevillevet (breast cancer).”
