More than 100 exhibitors, including Affinity, Bayer, Hill’s, Merial andIntervet-Schering Plough, will showcase the latest technologies and services at the industry exhibition running alongsidethe Southern European Veterinary Congress (SEVC).
The event, which takes place in Barcelona from October 1-4, expects to welcome more than 5,500 delegates, meaning it is set to be one of the largest veterinary exhibitions in Europe.
A major trade pet fair, MASCOTA, is also taking place in the adjacent conference building with free entry available to SEVC delegates.
SEVC (www.sevc.info) aims to provide the international companion animal veterinary community with a conference which offers both a comprehensive scientific programme and the opportunity to share experience and best practice with colleagues from around the world. The conference will feature a four day international scientific programme, masterclasses, workshops and the interational nursing programme.
Commenting on SEVC 2009, the organisers said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the level of support we’ve received for the exhibition at SEVC. Despite the tough economic climate, it’s clear that many of the companies serving the companion animal veterinary sector are continuing to invest in highly innovative new products and services and are looking for the right opportunity to showcase them to vets from around the world. The facilities available to exhibitors at the Fira de Barcelona are second to none and this has proved very attractive.
“The unique combination of exhibition, trade fair and veterinary conference makes SEVC not only one of the best places to learn within an International framework but also a focal point for the very latest product and service offerings for the companion animal sector.”
