Veterinary buying group St Francis Group (SFG) has appointed Lizzie Major as practice support manager – a new role created to help members maximise their profitability through technical support and training.
Lizzie, who joins SFG on August 1, brings 20 years’ expertise with her, having worked both in practice and in the industry. She has spent the past six years as an account manager at Intervet/Schering-Plough and before that held a similar role at Virbac.
Lizzie qualified as a veterinary nurse at the Animal Health Trust, working at the small animal and equine hospital before moving to equine practice. She then moved to become head nurse in the small animal department of a large mixed practice in Leicestershire.
John Hodgkin, of SFG, said: “This is a new role for us and is a demonstration of our commitment to helping our members improve their margins. As well as visiting practices to offer support, Lizzie will be responsible for the launch of a number of new management tools and services we have in the pipeline.”
