This year’s Kennel Club Accredited Instructors Scheme’s (KCAI) education event will, for the first time, be open to all canine professionals and people considering a career with dogs.

Try Out, Take In and Teach, held in association with Purina Pro Plan, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and 25 at the KC Building, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

On offer will be seminars and workshops covering everything from dog behaviour and training to competitive activities, nutrition and anatomy.

Previously only open to KCAI members, this year’s event gives the opportunity for all canine professionals to get advice and tips from experts.

Topics including “Frustration leading to anger” and “Aggression” will be explored by some of the KCAI Scheme’s most well-received speakers, Jane Hanshaw and Jackie Drakeford. Practical displays will include clicker work with Angela White, agility with Steve Croxford and working gundog tests with Philippa Williams.

The Kennel Club secretary Caroline Kisko said: “KCAI and Pro Plan are working in partnership to deliver the highest standards of education, guidance and support to all those who work with dogs.”

Day tickets cost £65 for KCAI members and £80 for non-members and weekend tickets are available at £120 for members, £155 for non-members.
