The debate will see key players in the equestrian world go head-to-head in a series of discussions, airing their views on the latest issues affecting different sectors of the trade.

Mr Stewart said: “I am delighted to be participating in BETA International once again. It is the premier gathering for the industries that support our brilliant equestrian sports.

“Showjumping is central to my family and I am proud to be an ambassador for British Showjumping, but eventing, dressage and racing are brilliant too – and, as a nation, we’re pretty good at all of it.

“I am looking forward to hosting a debate and question time at the show, which should be both informative and entertaining. I hope visitors will come along and join us.”

BETA International organiser Claire Thomas said: “We are thrilled that Alastair has agreed to take part in the 2016 fair.”

The 2016 show takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, from January 24 to 26.
