A man from south Wales has invented a canine-friendly iPhone app.
Nathan Price, from Porth in the Rhondda Valley, came up with the idea while he was walking his dog on holiday in Cornwall.
The app, developed in partnership with developers Cooply, of Tonypandy, tracks, through GPS technology, the number of walks a family undertakes and encourages friendly competition through individual leaderboards linked to Facebook accounts.
Mr Price said the app was a way of getting families to take collective responsibility for dog walking.
“I’ve also noticed a number of family dogs have their own Twitter accounts and the app is a good way to engage and get social with other dog owners,” he said.
