The Department of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Cambridge is to play host to an International Fiesta of small animal medicine CPD.
The event – on December 7, 2012 – will involve a number of international small animal medicine specialists, including John Bonagura of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Ian Ramsey of the University of Liverpool and France’s Julien Bazelle of the University of Cambridge.
There will be two streams – one in feline medicine and one in canine medicine.
Subjects under discussion in the feline stream include:
- an update on feline asthma;
- controversial thoughts about liver disease;
- management of corneal sequestra;
- cardiovascular disease; and
- congestive failure.
The canine stream meanwhile will look at a number of issues, including:
- Addisonian crises;
- diabetic ketoacidosis;
- genetic testing;
- protein losing enteropathies; and
- pain assessment for analgesia.
Attendees are asked to prioritise a stream, but will be able to move between the two on the day.
To attend the CPD day – hosted by East of England CPD – costs £220 plus VAT. Veterinary graduates are charged £150 plus VAT.
Attendees need to fill in a booking form, which can be found here.
