Veterinary nurses can find out more about their role in the fight against antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in a lunchtime webinar on Thursday (July 30).
It will take place via The Webinar Vet online CPD portal from 1pm to 2pm and will be presented by BMF advisor and VN lecturer Louise O’Dwyer.
Miss O’Dwyer said: “We’d like to invite all VNs with an interest in practice hygiene, and keen to do their bit towards infection control, to join us and review their knowledge on the topic.
“Our webinar will look at the role of infection control in clinical practice and whose responsibility it is, creating infection control programmes, and how we can all conduct surveillance within our clinics.
“I will review cleaning and disinfection procedures and the development of hospital-acquired infections, as well as how to deal with any cases you might encounter in practice.”
The webinar costs £30, but is free for veterinary nurse subscribers to The Webinar Vet. Go to www.thewebinarvet.com/upcoming-webinars to log on.
The session will also be available to watch again free via the BMF website (www.thebellamossfoundation.com) after July 30.
