Three UK vets have received high-tech prizes in a recent online competition by Novartis Animal Health to raise awareness around atopic dermatitis in dogs, and the use of Atopica to treat AD cases.

Alan Beatty is presented with his Dell MiniThe successful campaign received a huge response from entrants who entered the prize draw by answering a series of multiple choice questions about Atopica and the condition which affects more than 1 in 10 dogs.

The three triumphant vets, presented with their prizes by group territory managers, were Alan Beatty (South Yorks), Nicola Garnham ( Lancashire) and Derrick Carpenter (Lincolnshire).

Alan, who bagged himself a Dell Mini laptop, said: “I’ve been an Atopica customer since it came onto the market and I like it because it gets results and would definitely recommend Atopica to my colleagues. This competition caught my eye so I thought I’d enter, but never expected to win – what a surprise.”

Nicola said: “I’m a big competition and Atopica fan, so I entered this and won a webcam! The practice has several dogs on the treatment and we had great results recently with a Labrador that is now thriving after just a few weeks on Atopica.”

Derrick, who also won a webcam, said: “We’ve had some good success stories with Atopica, notably one Westie that didn’t respond well to steroids, suffering side-effects of long-term steroid use, but responded better on Atopica, avoiding the side-effects. I saw the Itch-free promotion on the website and thought I’d give it a go.”
