Boehringer Ingelheim’s field sales manager Chris Gee has called time on 35 years with the company and 40 years in the animal health industry.

Chris Gee: looking forward to a well-earned retirement.

Having joined the company in 1980, when Boehringer launched in the UK, Mr Gee’s first role was as a territory manager in the north-west of England, the midlands and Wales.

He has since held a number of roles including national sales manager, head of sales in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and key accounts and business development manager.

Mr Gee was involved with a variety of industry organisations and associations, and has served on the National Office of Animal Health exhibitors’ committee for many years – the past few as chairman.

He said: “I am going to miss the many people I have been fortunate to have met and worked with over the years – both customers and colleagues – many of whom have become good friends and I hope to keep in touch with them.

“However, I am looking forward to spending more time with my family and I will continue to follow my sporting interests as a spectator, particularly at Anfield, and also attempt to reduce my golf handicap and play more regularly.”
