A former director and president of the Veterinary Benevolent Fund (VBF) has been awarded a Fellowship by the charity for her dedication to the well-being of the veterinary profession.
She first became a director of VBF following the merger of the fund with Vet Helpline and VSHSP in January 2005.
Dr Brown’s immense contribution to VBF was sustained over many years. Her gifts of empathy, wisdom and understanding did a great deal to help members of the profession through difficulties as well as inspiring others to get involved with the charity.
VBF president John Moffitt said: “Lydia’s input, passion and dedication to the charity were highly valued by everyone she worked with across the profession. The charity is determined to carry on her good work.”
