World Horse Welfare and British Riding Clubs are bringing experts to Penny Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre near Blackpool in Lancashire later this month to show how you can improve your horse’s performance by learning more about its mouth.

Image courtesy World Horse WelfareThe Order of Loriners recognise that three people are responsible for choosing the right bit for your horse:

  • the dentist,
  • the bitting technician, and
  • The horse’s owner.

BEVA trained equine dentist Paul Waudby, who has a wealth of experience in his field, will be speaking at the event at Penny Farm on April 26.

Mr Waudby uses his extensive knowledge of dentistry to ensure that a horse’s experience with the dentist is a positive one.

Heather Hyde, a designer for Neue Schule Bits, will also be sharing her in-depth knowledge of bitting. She uses a holistic approach to ensure that the comfort and performance of the horse is priority.

  • Tickets are £8 (which includes a hotpot supper) and are available from Penny Farm on 01253 766983.
