CJ Hall Exotics is set to launch the first in a series of CPD talks on various exotic animal topics in December 2012, beginning with “Common presentations in parrot medicine: from budgies to macaws”.

CJ Hall exotics vet Matthew Fiddes and head nurse Kim Allen. The event will take place at the Old Town Hall, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond on December 4.

CJ Hall’s head vet Matthew Fiddes (pictured) will deliver the talk. He said: “In the press there have been concerns raised on keeping captive exotic animals and so the veterinary profession should do all it can to advise pet owners on providing the best care possible.

“Exotic pets, especially in London, continue to be extremely popular and so we are delighted to start our CPD evenings, which we hope will help vets, perhaps more familiar with cats and dogs, to feel confident in providing the best treatment and husbandry advice for these wonderful animals.”

CJ Hall was established 17 years ago as a centre dedicated to the treatment of exotic animals and takes referrals from practices across London and beyond.

The CPD event will be held in the Whittaker Ellis Suite from 8pm.
