YourVets employs 45 vets and more than 200 staff at five large veterinary clinics in Coventry, Nuneaton, Wythall, Stechford and Solihull in the West Midlands and two in Essex in Rayleigh and Dagenham.

CVS expands into Essex and the Midlands.

The clinics at Coventry and Rayleigh provide out-of-hours and referral services.

YourVets was founded in July 1997 in Coventry and has developed what it calls a “super-clinic” model, offering a full range of veterinary services across its branches and two 24-hour centres at Coventry and Rayleigh.

CVS chief executive Simon Innes said: “YourVets is a strong, successful and highly respected brand and we are delighted it is joining CVS. It is a good fit for us because it significantly increases our presence in the Midlands where it complements the recent acquisition Townsend Vets. It also supports our aim to grow our operations in Essex.”

YourVets chief executive Janet Martin added: “This is a positive step in the development of YourVets and we look forward to the opportunities it presents.”

CVS UK is the largest and fastest-growing mixed practice corporate veterinary group in the UK. Founded in 1999, and run principally by vets, it employs more than 3,000 staff at its practices and surgeries across the UK and in its related veterinary businesses, including an online pharmacy, three pet crematoriums and five veterinary laboratories.
