Companion Care Vets has opened a new Pets at Home-based practice in Llantrisant, south Wales. The branch is the 100th surgery for the company, and is to be run by veterinary surgeon Rhian Bullock.

Companion Care Vets has officially opened its 100th practice.

The practice – which is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including digital x-ray facilities, an in-house laboratory and an isolation unit – is owned and managed by veterinary surgeon Rhian Bullock, who recently returned to Llantrisant after working and studying in the USA for many years.

She said: “I am really excited to be running my own practice in an area that I love. There is nothing that satisfies me more than well animals and happy clients.”

The opening day saw local charities as well as The Dogs Trust and Cats Protection spend the day fundraising with the local community.

Companion Care Vets managing director Jane Balmain said: “Opening our 100th surgery is testament to the hard work and dedication of our fantastic team.”

Companion Care Vets is one of the largest veterinary employers in the UK, with more than 1,000 employees. The company has doubled in size in the past three years and aims to do so again by 2015.
