Veterinary professionals are being urged to apply to make a 15-minute clinical abstract presentation at the 2016 British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) Congress.
The presentations are a valued part of congress and each year BSAVA receives several hundred applications – many of which go through to be part of the congress programme.
It says it would particularly welcome submissions from people working in general practice.
BSAVA Congress programme chairman Nick Bexfield said it hoped many vets, nurses, practice managers and students would submit.
“Many applicants see clinical abstract presentations as a fantastic tool for career development and a unique chance to discuss their work with the global veterinary community,” he said.
Each abstract will be peer reviewed and a selection chosen for inclusion. Successful applicants will also gain free registration at next year’s congress, being held in Birmingham from April 7 to 10.
The closing date for submissions is October 21.
