A veterinary practice in Sussex has won the title of Best UK Vets 2014, thanks to rave reviews from some of its clients.
Arun Veterinary Group in Pulborough was crowned at a presentation evening held by Vet Help Direct, which runs an independent reviewing platform for vets.
The winning practice was decided by the number of positive online reviews its clients submitted over a year.
More than 180 went out of their way to leave a review for the popular practice. “Nothing is too much trouble”, “fabulous vets” and “more like good friends” were just some of the comments received.
In second place was St George’s Veterinary Group in Wolverhampton and third was Goddard Veterinary Group, of Gidea Park in Essex.
A spokesman for Vet Help Direct said: “A good online reputation is so valuable to both local people looking for a service and to business owners. That’s why online reviews are at the heart of our vet directories.”
All reviews are subject to rigorous tests of authenticity, are checked for duplicate IP and email addresses and some reviewers are asked to provide evidence they are recent clients of the practice. Every British vet practice is eligible to take part.
“Authentic online reviews aid animal owners in finding a trusted, local vet more easily,” the spokesman added.
Arun’s triumph coincided with the opening of a new practice branch.
