Deadline for submissions for 2013 congress, taking place at Majestic Hotel in Harrogate, just a week away.

The British Cattle Veterinary Association (BCVA) is reminding cattle vets in the UK that the deadline is approaching for submissions for its annual congress.

This year's congress – taking place at The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate in October – takes the theme of progress in practice and is geared towards the practitioner.This year’s event – taking place at The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate on October 17-19 (2013) – has the theme of “progress in practice“, and aims to bring the event closer to the practitioner, with clinical updates and research data that will help integrate new thinking back into veterinary practice.

The BCVA is calling for submissions to the following sessions:

  • postgraduate research oral presentations – a number of which will be selected for oral presentation while most will be invited for poster presentation;
  • practitioner research oral presentations – which falls within the postgraduate research session, so similar selection processes will be followed; and
  • poster presentations – meaning the research will be seen throughout the whole of congress by delegates.

The deadline for submissions is June 28 (2013). A form, which can be found here, needs to be filled in, and any submissions will receive feedback from the congress’ scientific committee “as soon as possible“.  Those whose submissions are selected by the committee will be able to attend the congress at a discounted rate.
