Catcuddles Sanctuary has been given a helping hand with the development of its second site in north London, courtesy of a £500 donation from insurance provider Petplan.
Each month, Petplan randomly selects one of its registered animal charities in a prize draw to receive £500.
Catcuddles Sanctuary is a London-based cat sanctuary promoting the welfare of cats and aiming to strengthen their bond with humans.
The charity helps to find a loving home for unwanted cats in need of care and affection.
Evina Koroni, founder of Catcuddles Sanctuary, said: “We really appreciate this generous £500 donation, which will go towards opening a Catcuddles in north London, complete with its own in-house charity cat clinic, within the year.
“The contribution is a step in making this dream a reality, which will allow us to reach more areas across London.
“The new branch will grow our charity, so we can help rehome more cats and provide them with the care they deserve.”
Isabella von Mesterhazy, head of marketing at Petplan, said: “We understand the challenges animal charities face and therefore provide four weeks’ free insurance to anyone rehoming a pet from one of our animal charities.
“Pet insurance can help pet owners cover the cost of unexpected veterinary treatment and provides reassurance for adopters during those precious first weeks whilst an adopted animal settles into its new home.”
