Pet food manufacturer Royal Canin to host session on implementing and running a senior pet club and the key signs of ageing.
Pet food manufacturer Royal Canin has announced it is hosting a webinar on canine and feline ageing as part of its veterinary nurse CPD series.
Taking place on October 22 (2013) at 8pm, the one-hour session is to be hosted by RVN Donna Gaylor from the University of Edinburgh Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies’ Small Animal Clinic and Royal Canin’s Clare Hemmings, also an RVN, and will provide tips on implementing and running a senior pet club in practice. It will also discuss the key signs of ageing.
Ms Hemmings said: “It’s important veterinary nurses are able to spot signs of ageing, such as loss of hearing and thinning fur, and then demonstrate how practices can help pets with the issues unique to their old age.
“Our webinar will look at how to build a senior pet club into a practice, discussing senior care with clients and the nutritional support available for dogs and cats in their advancing years.”
Anyone interested in undertaking the webinar can register by visiting Royal Canin’s website. The webinar is easy to join, says the company, as all you need is a computer, with speakers, which is connected to the internet.
CPD certificates will be made available online to those who attend.
