Bath Vet Group has teamed up with Bath Cats and Dogs Home in a three-year partnership to manage the home’s veterinary suite. The suite will be the workplace of a team of three vets and four VNs.

Bath Vet Group has teamed up with Bath Cats and Dogs Home in a three-year partnership.

A veterinary team of seven, headed up by senior veterinary officer Holly Mitchell, will be based within the “state-of-the-art” facility.

The team will consist of three vets and four veterinary nurses, who will provide “around-the-clock medical care” for all the animals that come into the home. The suite will be open from 8.30am to 4.30pm each day, with more complex cases and out-of-hours emergencies being carried out at Bath Vet Group’s Rosemary Lodge Veterinary Hospital.

John Campbell, veterinary surgeon at Rosemary Lodge, said: “Bath Veterinary Group is delighted to be running the Bath Cats and Dogs Home veterinary contract.

“With our eight surgeries in and around Bath and Rosemary Lodge Veterinary Hospital, we knew we were best placed to serve the home which has a very special place in the hearts of our staff and clients.”

Meanwhile, Karen Ethier, animal care and welfare delivery manager at Bath Cats and Dogs Home, said: “We are very excited to be working alongside Bath Vet Group, and there have already been some very positive changes that are benefiting the animals in our care.

“Providing state-of-the-art veterinary treatment has always been of paramount importance to us due to the sheer volume and diversity of sick and injured animals we see through our doors,” she added.
