Boehringer Ingelheim has announced the winners of its “#InMyHands” competition, which took place at the Vetmedin stand during BSAVA Congress in April 2015.

Four lucky winners each bagged themselves an Apple Watch at BSAVA Congress 2015.

Each of the four winners were drawn at random from those who visited the company’s exhibition stand, posed for a photograph with the “giant hands” installation and made a commitment to help patients with dilated cardiomyopathy live longer better lives.

The lucky winners, each of whom bagged themselves a coveted Apple Watch were:

  • Holli Crompton
  • Jasmine Henderson
  • Helen Wood
  • Clare Catchpole

All official photographs taken on the stand were uploaded to a dedicated photo album on the vetsonline Facebook page, which Boehringer urged participants to share via social media using the hashtag #InMyHands.

Speaking with Veterinary Times (below), band manager Rob Lucy explained: “The whole idea is that now Vetmedin has the preclinical license*, we’ve given it to the vets and it’s now ‘in their hands’ to do something about this.”

* Vetmedin chewable tablets are now also indicated for the treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy in the preclinical stage (asymptomatic with an increase in left ventricular end-systolic and end-diastolic diameter) in Doberman pinschers following echocardiographic diagnosis of cardiac disease.
