The Animal Health Distributors Association (AHDA) is to hold its 27th annual conference — entitled “Broadening Horizons for Professional Healthcare” — on January 17-18, 2012.
The conference, held this year at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire, is hailed as a “must attend” event for all animal health distributors, manufacturers, SQPs, wholesalers, regulators, EU colleagues, independents and allied industry businesses.
The annual AHDA conference is attended by up to 500 delegates, featuring the major UK animal health distributors and their key management, procurement and commercial staff.
AHDA members represent over 86% of the industry, employ more than 1,300 SQPs and operate over 550 retail stores.
The AHDA conference and exhibition is said to be the recognised industry showcase, meeting the demands of the industry on all fronts: a unique networking forum with a varied programme reflecting the very latest views, trends and innovation, gala dinner, after-dinner speaker, the AMTRA SQP Awards and prize draw provide a full and varied evening’s entertainment.
Sessions running in 2012 include:
- Improving retail skills for the SQP
- SQP and Vet co-operation
- Zoonosis in companion animals
- Licensing a new vet medicine
Between sessions, delegates can visit the sold out exhibition, which hosts stands from 42 businesses and has grown into a major feature, providing vital contacts and the latest information for managers, buyers, marketing, SQPs and retail staff.
