Following another record breaking year in 2014, BSAVA Congress will celebrate its 25th anniversary in Birmingham next April.

NIA to be re-launched in December as Barclaycard Arena following multi-million pound facelift.

The anniversary year in Birmingham also coincides with a revamp of the exhibition venue, with the NIA, now renamed the Barclaycard Arena, receiving a £26million facelift – a far cry from the poorly-ventilated basement of the Shaftesbury Hotel in London, where the association’s first congress was held in March 1958.

BSAVA Congress is largely created by a team of dedicated volunteer vets and VNs, and this year there are more than 300 lectures to choose from, offering choices for delegates at all stages of their career, as well as a range of new streams including rehabilitation (in conjunction with the British Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Association, emergency medicine, and interactive multidiscipline case-based presentations.
