Ana Lara

Ana LaraAna Lara DVM, MSc, PhD, FHEA, PgCert MedEd, DipACVIM, DipECVIM-CA(Oncol), MRCVS, graduated from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain in 1998, then completed a PhD on platelet function in dogs with cancer. In 2003, she moved to The Ohio State University in the US, where she completed an internship and a residency in oncology.
Ana obtained a diploma in veterinary oncology from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Companion Animals) in 2008. After being clinical instructor at The Ohio State University, in July 2008, she joined the RVC as a lecturer in oncology, where she developed and led its oncology service at the Queen Mother Hospital for Small Animals from 2009-14.
