Equine practitioners are often faced with challenging emergency situations in less than ideal conditions. This course aims to provide you with a case-based logical approach to emergency scenarios focusing on first aid and decision making to maximise the chance of a positive outcome for horse and vet.

The course will cover key emergency conditions, including wounds, fractures, ocular problems, castration complications, and equine rescue techniques. The focus will be on interactive case discussions building on the personal experience of the attendees.

The five key things you will learn from this course are:

  • A step wise logical approach to the equine casualty
  • Equine rescue techniques
  • Basic techniques to maximise the likelihood of a positive outcome
