Forum overview:

Spinal pain is a common presentation in veterinary practice. Various aetiologies can cause spinal pain. The aim of this talk is to consider what are the common causes of spinal pain and by considering the signalment and the onset and progression of signs, discuss what appropriate diagnostic investigations should be performed.

The clinical signs, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of the following conditions will be considered:

  • Aortic thromboembolism
  • Steroid Responsive Meningitis Arteritis
  • Meningomyelitis of unknown origin
  • Discospondylitis
  • Spinal fractures
  • Atlantoaxial instability
  • Chiari-like malformation and syringomyelia
  • Spinal neoplasia
  • Intervertebral disc disease
  • Cervical stenotic myelopathy
  • Degenerative lumbosacral disease


Evening CPD Forum schedule:

The evening will begin with an optional tour of the premises starting at 6.30pm prompt.

A buffet, wine and refreshments will be served in the dining room from 7.00pm followed at 8.00pm by the forum which should last approximately one and a half hours.

Certificates of Attendance will be issued for your CPD records.

Discussion and questions are welcomed during the forum.
