Small Animal Endocrinology
Endocrine diseases occur commonly in dogs and cats and can be rewarding to treat, but equally they can be very frustrating to deal with! The veterinarian can be faced with a confusing range of options for investigating and treating these diseases.
This one-day workshop will focus on the common endocrine disorders encountered in small animal practice, including adrenal problems, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, diabetes mellitus, insulinoma, and growth hormone disorders. We will also look at some of the more unusual endocrine diseases that can be encountered. There will be a combination of lectures and case discussions covering the diagnosis and management of what can be some of our most challenging and interesting patients. Recent developments in the field will be mentioned.
