Willows Day CPD Meeting

Open your eyes to eyelid disorders

Wednesday 13 July 2016

09:00am – 05:30pm

Willows Referral Service, Highlands Road,
Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands B90 4NH

Forum overview:

Eyelid and eyelash conditions are common in general practice and can be difficult to manage. Determining the exact aetiology, management and choice of best surgical technique can represent a challenge to even the most experienced clinician.

Over this one-day meeting, the ophthalmology team will approach the most common conditions in a practical and clinically helpful way. The programme includes valuable input from our dermatology specialist (Jon Hardy) to focus on periocular skin conditions in dogs and cats.

The day will offer practical advice on examination of the eyelids, extra eyelashes, common surgical techniques (for example ‘the perfect wedge resection’ and tacking Shar Pei puppies) and eyelid tumours and their management. You will be provided with a hand-held voting device so that you can participate in the lectures and interactive case discussions! At the end of the day you will feel more confident to face day-to-day eyelid problems and conditions that typically affect specific breeds.
