Nutrition has a vital part to play in the successful management of our hospitailsed patients. In this session we will discuss the different types of starvation experienced by our patients. How to perform a nutritional assessment and how to calculate our patient’s energy requirements. We will look at the diets available for various medical conditions and we will discuss the different routes of feeding including tube feeding options and potential complications.
