Intermediate Fracture Repair
About this course
The aim of the course is to teach you how to perform intermediate level orthopaedic procedures. This course will be heavily weighted towards the practical component to allow as much hands-on practice as possible. Theory and decision making in fracture repair will be covered using examples. More specifically the following topics will be covered in detail along with the opportunity to practise these in a wet lab environment; femoral head and neck excision, femoral fracture fixation (internal fixation), tibial fracture fixation (internal fixation) and patella luxation.
This course is suitable for competent surgeons who understand the principles of fracture fixation, lag screw fixation and orthopaedic surgical techniques.
The course will help you tackle intermediate level orthopaedic procedures with more confidence and greater depth of understanding.
