The discussion will include tips and techniques for thoracocentesis to achieve therapy and confirm your diagnosis, as well as placement and management of thoracic drains including Trochar style and Seldinger technique.

This talk will discuss the indications for the procedure, the risks and complications. The talk will provide a simple step-by-step guide to placing a tracheostomy tube.
Urethral obstruction is a common presentation in small animal veterinary medicine. This talk will focus on the initial presentation and stabilisation of the patient with urethral obstruction. The diagnostic imaging of these patients will be reviewed in detail and there will be a brief overview of the surgical management options.
