eCPD Master Class: Diagnostic imaging of the abdomen
This course is available online. Please see below for more details on how to attend this course via the Internet.
Learn how best utilise radiographs, ultrasound, CT and scintigraphy in your diagnostic approach to the abdomen of your small animal patient.
Today many diagnostic modalities are available in veterinary practice to evaluate the abdomen of the patient, including radiographs, ultrasound, CT and scintigraphy primarily. But which information does each modality exactly deliver, how do I utilise the modalities best to optimise my diagnostic approach? This six week online course will start with a brief review of the relevant imaging technology that allows the participant to understand the information delivered on the images and how to optimise quality of images acquired in practice. In the following a systematic approach to evaluating the abdomen will guide through the individual organ systems. Common disease presentations will be reviewed in a didactic format.
Many practical cases will allow the participants to sharpen the diagnostic skills and learning how to best utilise the individual modalities, or a combination thereof.
Participants can earn up to 42 CPD hours.
