Consultations and Client Communication
This course is available online. Please see below for more details on how to attend this course via the Internet.
Vet Nurses and Techs are becoming increasingly responsible for nurse-led clinics, and therefore in directly communicating with and advising clients. Reception staff have to utilise effective communication during most of their working day. But how confident are we in this face-to-face and unpredictable environment?
Communication can also have an enormous impact on client compliance and the resulting clinical outcomes – so how do we ensure we get it right?
This course will cover some key aspects of communication skills including consultation structure, assisting with euthanasia appointments, and admission and discharge procedures.
Whilst the course covers topics such as admissions and discharges, that are often the nurse remit, the content of this course is also suitable for any veterianry surgeons that wish to learn some useful skills in communicating in these areas.
