Who’s it for?
A distance learning online course providing an industry recognised City & Guilds Level 4 qualification in small animal emergency & critical care nursing. Candidates should be RCVS registered veterinary nurses or equivalent, with one year’s post qualification small animal work-based experience. Ideally candidates will currently be working in predominantly small animal practice with a good and varied case load.
When & where?
There are 2 annual intakes in April and October, delivered by our e-learning portal Moodle.
What can I expect?
The certificate is designed to:
- Develop your RVN skill set to enhance patient care in ECC cases
- Expand and develop an optional career path for veterinary nurses
- Provide an industry recognised qualification for RVN’s at level 4
- Develop and progress high standards of care across the veterinary profession
The certificate takes 18 months to complete and students would be expected to complete 6 core units and accompanying course work.
Final award of the Certificate is dependant on sucessful completion of the three final assessment papers.
