Ear disease contributes hugely to the caseload of small animal general practice. There is controversy over the best treatment for aural haematoma. Otitis externa can be painful and debilitating; aggressive and prolonged medical management can resolve a number of cases, but treatment failure or poor owner compliance can lead to debilitating and painful conditions. Surgical management can have a dramatic effect on patient and owner quality of life. This course will instruct in the practical approach to these procedures and the decision making in when to choose them.
